Libya with David Cenciotti

David Cenciotti
Whilst all the recent media attention has been focussed on Japan, the troubles in northern Africa and particularly in Libya carry on. Of particular interest to those in the aviation sector, whether an enthusiast or not, is the aircraft movements and activity in the region. This week’s Across The Pond segment is with David Cenciotti, a journalist, pilot and author and one of the best placed individuals to help us share some of the more interesting developments in the air.

We discuss unusual visitors to the region which include SIGINT and supporting aircraft undertaking racetrack surveillance operations, over flights from unusual visitors to the region such as Airbus’s from China and the current status of the Libyan Arab Air Force.

David’s insight into these issues is extremely valuable and if you really want to know what’s going on in the region listen to Airplane Geeks and then follow him on Twitter @cencio4 and visit his blog http://cencio4.wordpress.com which has some of the most interesting news and reports around in Europe at the moment.
