Dr Lucy Rogers and the ISS Wave

Arianne 5  Launching its 200th Mission
This weeks segment on Across The Pond is part of a two parter titled "The Highs and Lows of European Aviation". This weeks programme starts with the 'Highs' and we are very lucky to have the opportunity to talk to Dr Lucy Rogers. Lucy is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and British Interplanetary Society and a member of the Association of British Science Writers.
But more importantly Lucy is all about making science (and for us geeks) space travel, just that little bit easier to understand. She wrote the book "It's ONLY Rocket Science: An Introduction in Plain English" and regularly appears in the UK press and on national radio in as an expert witness on the subject.
We get Lucy to tell us all about space travel, the International Space Station, the European Space Agency, the UK Space Agency and whether manned space flight to the Moon or Mars is just fantasy. We also ask what the ISS Wave is!
Join us on this weeks Airplane Geeks and find out more. The next segment in this two parter will come out soon, but who can guess the subject on the 'Lows' of European aviation?
